Despite the low risk of job loss, a survey by Microsoft and LinkedIn revealed that 74% of Thai business leaders would not hire candidates without AI skills. This highlights the increasing importance placed on AI expertise in the workforce, with employers in Thailand willing to pay at least 41% more to hire workers with AI skills. Additionally, 91% of Thai business leaders believe that adopting AI is essential for companies to remain competitive.
The Emphasis on AI Skills in Thai Workforce
As Thai businesses recognize the value of AI skills, the report emphasizes that 90% of leaders prefer candidates with AI skills over those with more work experience. The study also found that 92% of knowledge workers in Thailand currently use AI at work, demonstrating the widespread integration of AI tools in the country’s workforce.
