The Economic Crimes Department (ECD) of the Royal Thai Police, with support from the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), conducted raids at four locations in Bangkok, Surin Province, and Surat Thani. The raids targeted the largest torrent tracker site in Thailand, Siambit.me, which had been operating since 2005 and regularly changed its domain to avoid detection. According to the Royal Thai Police, Siambit.me had over 100,000 VIP members, with the operators making an estimated 1.5 million baht (USD$41,000) monthly.

The site had over 100,000 VIP members, and the operators were making an estimated 1.5 million baht (USD$41,000) monthly. The site had been operating since 2005 and regularly changed its domain to avoid detection.
Legal Action Taken
The raids resulted in the arrest of four Thai nationals, who are expected to be formally charged with copyright offenses in the coming days. The action was taken by the Royal Thai Police and ACE to curb the illegal distribution of copyrighted content on Siambit.me.
