Asean-Italy Economic Relations Strengthened at High-Level Dialogue
The 7th High-Level Dialogue on “ASEAN-Italy Economic Relations” recently took place, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European House-Ambrosetti, and the Embassy of Italy in Bangkok. The event aimed to enhance economic ties between ASEAN and Italy, commemorating 155 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Italy. Discussions focused on improving the ASEAN-Italy supply chain, addressing climate change, and promoting inclusive growth through digitalization and innovation.
Thailand Advocates for Proactive Economic Diplomacy
Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, highlighted the importance of proactive economic diplomacy and fostering strong partnerships for the benefit of ASEAN and Italy’s business communities. Valentino Valentini, Deputy Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy, emphasized Italy’s role as a significant industrial ally in ASEAN’s growing economic landscape.
Over 300 Stakeholders Attend Forum
More than 300 stakeholders, including policymakers, business leaders, and scholars from Thailand, Italy, and various ASEAN countries, attended the forum. The event also featured parallel activities such as business matching sessions and roundtable discussions on boosting ASEAN-Italy investments through the financial sector and private capital.
