Showcasing Thailand at OTM 2025
Thailand recently showcased its array of attractions at the Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) 2025 in Mumbai, India. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) focused on deepening ties with India by highlighting cultural experiences, wellness retreats, and promotional campaigns targeting various traveler segments. With over 1,600 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, OTM is considered South Asia’s largest travel trade fair, attracting over 40,000 visitors, including leisure and corporate travel professionals.
Celebrating Indian Tourism Growth
TAT Governor, Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, lauded the growth of Indian tourism, with over 2 million Indian visitors to Thailand in 2024. The Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025 campaign aims to inspire first-time visitors and bolster connections with Indian travelers through cultural promotions, business exchanges, and a range of experiences, including luxury, wellness, and family-oriented offerings.
Expanding Thai-Indian Tourism Connections
Participating in OTM for the 12th consecutive year, TAT continues to emphasize Thailand’s rich culture and hospitality. With a target of 2.3 million Indian visitors in 2025, the focus is on family vacations, weddings, and luxury tourism. Tailored initiatives like "Living it up in Thailand" and "The Celebrations with Care and Inner Shine" cater to different traveler segments, with popular destinations including Bangkok, Phuket, and emerging spots like Surat Thani, offering a variety of activities from beach holidays to exploring historic sites.
